Money for Health Profession Students

The Health Professions Student Loan Program provides long-term, low interest rate loans to full-time financially needy students pursuing a degree in dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, pediatric medicine, or veterinary medicine. Funds are made available to schools for the establishment of revolving student loan funds. To apply for this loan, contact the student financial aid office at the school where you intend to apply for admission or where you are enrolled. Money for Faculty Loan Repayments

(Disadvantaged Health Professions Faculty Loan Repayment Program 93.923)
The Faculty Loan Repayment Program provides a financial incentive for degree-trained health professionals from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue an academic career. The health professional must agree to serve as a member of a faculty of a health professions school, providing teaching services for a minimum of two years, faculty for schools of medicine, nursing, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, pediatric medicine, optometry, veterinary medicine, public health, or a school that offers a graduate program in clinical psychology. The federal government agrees to pay as much as $20,000 on the individual’s educational loans.
