Money to Help Bus Operators Comply With Disability Requirements
This program provides funding to private operators of over-the-road buses to assist with the costs and training necessary to comply with the Department of Transportation’s "Transportation for Individuals with Disabilities" rule. Capital projects eligible for funding include adding wheelchair lifts and other accessibility equipment to new vehicles, and purchasing lifts to retro-fit existing vehicles. Eligible training costs can be included.
