$2,000 in Rebates for Commercial Lighting Projects
Small companies or businesses that have less than 100 employees, have operated at the same location as an PPL Electric Utilities customer for at least three years, and have a good-standing credit history with PPL Electric Utilities, may be eligible for a rebate on lighting replacement costs under this program. This program is only available for lighting retrofits that replace existing inefficient lighting systems and that have a cost of more than $5,000. In addition, projects must have started on or after July 14, 2008 in order to qualify. Applicants must be property or leaseholders and the building where measures will be installed must be 25,000 square feet or less. The rebate is calculated as 20% of the project cost up to a maximum rebate of $2,000. Rebated projects may exceed $10,000 in costs, but rebates will only be paid up to the first $10,000. Applicants must use Energy Star qualified replacement products. This is a rebate program rather than a financing program; however; financing assistance may be available for some applicants through the SEF.
