Up to $70,000 for Businesses to Put in a PV System
Merced Irrigation District (MID) offers their residential, commercial and non-profit customers a rebate for installing solar electric photovoltaic (PV) systems on their homes and offices. In keeping with the terms of Senate Bill 1, the incentive amount is scheduled to drop every year during the 10-year life of the program. The rebate available for 2008 is $2.80 per Watt (W), adjusted based on the expected performance of the system. Maximum incentives are: residential: $8,400 and commercial: $70,000.
