  Hello, let me start out by saying it’s an honor to email you this letter. Thank you for everything you have done for non-profits businesses like myself and for families in need. Thank you so much, I want to introduce myself and tell you about what i’m in need of. My name is Jeffery Moore Founder and CEO of the gifts foundation located in southeastern Michigan. I am a non-profit organization. looking for help with my business and upcoming projects. I started Gifts Foundation in late March of 2020, this year. Seeing a lot of people suffer due to corona virus, lose their jobs, home, business and not have means to put food on the table, Made me want to help even more. As a child I always wanted to help my community, Growing up poor seeing less fortunate children go hungry, and go without meals made me want to do something about it. at age 10 i started going around collecting cans. It wasn’t much, But it was something to get me started. I went around asking for a dollar to every uncle ,cousin, friend i had. I got up to about 15 bucks and brought some lunch meat, bread, candy, and juice and gave it out to all the kids in the neighborhood. A lot not all got lunch that day. But the majority did. I was able to feed a lot of kids. this made me want to do more. working 2 jobs i never had the time to start my own non-profit, when the pedemic hit, i saw a lot of people down on their luck.without food, jobs, money. I wanted to give back somehow. Me and my wife took the money out of our savings account which was not much, and made lunches. We were able to make 80 lunch juice boxes and gave away 60 pairs of socks. To see the smile on every person’s face was amazing. We started with hardly nothing from our pockets. At the end of August we were able to raise about 2000 dollars in 2 weeks, from going out talking to people about our backpack drive. We wanted to make sure 100 children had what they needed to start school. Growing up in my home as a boy I saw a lot of children didn’t have the resources they really needed to start school. So many had to borrow from others or the teacher, a lot of the time they went without doing their assignments because they had no paper or pencils to do their work. . So we want to focus on education where we meet once or twice a week to toture these children and make sure their organized and the have everything they need for school and home, Because we know backpacks, and school supplies, sometime don’t last, we want to make sure every week a child will have supplies they may need and help they get. Gifts foundation will need school supplies paper, pencils, crayons, erasers, binders, glue etc. We would need volunteers and an office or building. Our budget on this project will cost us around 40-80,000 to get started. We would also supply children with packed lunches, which would run about 4 dollars a sac. There are a few more projects we will be doing in 2020 of this year. Our upcoming campaign will be based on school aged children. Coats for Kids. Will be our next project. We would need 100 coats, hats and gloves which would cost us a total amount of 3000 with coats being 10 bucks a coat and extra 3000 for hats and gloves. Our deadline date will run until Nov 13th. Michigan gets cold every year. The brutal weather in Michigan drops really low. We want to make sure at least 100 children are warm when playing at the park standing outside waiting for the school bus or even walking to another friend’s house. We are 100% dedicated to keeping children in the metro area warm this year. Our next project will be for lower income families and seniors. Gifts Foundation wants everyone to have a great holiday and new years. We came up with making about 200 boxes filled with non perishable items, hygiene care, products for their homes like washing powder, sheets, trash bags, toilet paper, and a small gift. this would cost us about 30 dollars a box. The deadline will also be in Nov on the 13th Our last project this year would consist of only toys. We need Toys for our toy drive, books, puzzles, stuffed animals, learning games, etc this project will most likely run into Dec 23rd. deadline. Our goal for this campaign is to raise about 4000 dollars and or gifts cards, can goods, and other things that are listed. 100% of proceeds will go to people in need this year. We are not trying to make a profit from this, mainly just to help. We would also need a SUV for our upcoming project in 2021, we would be focusing on food and health. We would be delivering non perishable and perishable items to homes every Saturday. kids go without eating on weekends due to funding in home or families not having the resources they need, a lot of children, families seniors suffered, that’s where Gifts Foundation comes in. We are 100% dedicated to this and we want to change lives in the community. We want to make a difference that’s why we are asking for your help. Please help us help these children and families that are suffering this year during this awful time.. We would love to post you on the website . Anything helps.
