I was sitting in a Starbucks working the other day and a person who recognized me came up and said she was looking for a government grant to start a business and asked if she should hire a government grant writer to help her. My immediate reaction was NO¦¦.
I asked her why in the world was she thinking of hiring a government grant writer when she doesn’t even know yet where to go to get a government grant or what the government grant application looks like. It putting the cart before the horse and a waste of time. The reality is that you may or may not need a government grant writer. So why waste time finding one if you may never need one.
